Hoping my Mavs coming off a great game against a good Portland team get me back in the win column tonight. Harden's shoulder I expect to be a factor in this one. Shoulder soreness can have serious restraints on your follow through and willingness to drive. At home, after a tough game against OKC I might watch his minutes regardless if I am D'Antoni. With all that, gotta go with my Mavericks! Lay 'em Folks!
My Pick: Dallas +11

Looks like Harden will be out for tonight game with a sore back. Dallas has been playing good as of late so Im gonna lay the +10.5 and the under!

If this line is now at +14 for the Mavs im all over it. I dont think they will win outright but I dont think they get blown out by 14 by the rockets here. saying that tho lets not get too carried away with the Mavericks recent run of success. While their win over the Trail Blazers was spectacular, It was at home and most of their wins during their recent run have come over teams with a losing regular season record. It wasnt too long ago when losing was a common theme in Dallas, and they were on a 2-7 run. I think that 14 points is too much for the rockets to cover here despite all the factors mentioned above. Mavs +14
My Pick: Dallas +14

Houston Chronicle: Rockets top Mavericks as Harden extends scoring streak in closing seconds
DALLAS -- The win had finally been secured, but with minutes left, the large numbers in the middle of the scoreboard were no longer the point. James Harden's streak of games scoring 30 was on the line and every finger crossed in Toyota Center was to bring luck to the remainder of the chase.
The Mavericks were trapping the ball out of Harden's hands, which if it were not the strategy from the opening tip, would have been like walking Joe DiMaggio in the eighth inning.
Harden had reached the final minutes on Monday still well short of the 30 he'd need to extend his streak, but as the Rockets finished a 120-104 run past the Mavericks, he tended to unfinished business.
Mavs Moneyball: 3 observations from the Mavericks 120-104 loss to the Rockets
The Mavericks lost to the Rockets in Houston 120-104 on Monday night, a predictable loss coming on the second night of a back to back for Dallas and still figuring out their new roster.
Dallas was down by double-figures for most of the night, unable to slow down Houston despite doing a decent job on James Harden for three quarters. The Mavericks actually cut the lead to single digits in the fourth, but then Harden woke up and put the game away,
It's an interesting time for the Mavericks right now, not really a playoff threat and also not a tanking team while integrating new players from some big trades over the last week.

Dallas Mavericks (56% consensus). James Harden will try to push his streak of 30-point games to 30 in a row when he leads the Houston Rockets into a home matchup with the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. Harden continued his phenomenal scoring run with 42 points in Saturday's 117-112 loss to Oklahoma City, leaving him two 30-point games away from tying Wilt Chamberlain for the second-longest such streak in NBA history... http://bit.ly/2iIdNLB
