This Wizards have struggled on the road this year but the Pistons have been mediocre on the road. Both teams have a little momentum coming into this one as they try to gain more ground before the All Star break. The Pistons have won three in a row and adding Ellington is a solid acquisition to their rotation. Washington has won two straight after picking up Portis and Parker in the deal that sent Otto Porter Jr. to Chicago. Detroit has momentum right now and they carry that over here to make it four straight victories.50%

Detroit Bad Boys: Pistons vs Wizards preview: Detroit looks to extend winning streak
Well, would you look at that:
Despite everything that's happened in this at-times-unwatchable season, the Detroit Pistons find themselves squarely back in the playoff picture. They've won three straight games, four out of their last five, and, according to Tankathon, they have the ninth-easiest schedule for the rest of the season.
If the Pistons want to continue their momentum, they have to come out and play hard every night, including tonight against the Washington Wizards.

The Washington Wizards find themselves in much the same place the Pistons did a few weeks ago - still hanging on the fringes of the playoff picture, where a good two weeks can propel you forward and a bad week can submarine your season.
Fansided: Detroit Pistons: Game against Wizards a must win situation.
The battle for a place in the NBA Playoffs begins to intensify just a few days before the All-Star break. In the Eastern Conference, seeds 6-11 have plenty of possibilities to reach a place among the best eight. Every game counts and the Detroit Pistons know it; that's why tonight, when they face the Washington Wizards, they must leave everything on the floor to continue climbing stepladders.
The ones led by Dwane Casey have taken the ninth place on the East standings for a good part of the season, but last night's loss of the Miami Heat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors, has given the Detroit team a tie in 8th place alongside the Heat, maintaining both a record of 25 wins and 29 setbacks.
