Royals Review: Game 145 Thread: White Sox vs Royals

The Kansas City Royals have three games left against opponents with a losing record this year. This is one of them. Wednesday and Thursday, still against the Chicago White Sox, will be the other two. After that, the Royals will play 16 games against teams with a winning record. Wheeeeeee!

Remember at the beginning of the season when the White Sox and Royals were at each other's throats for, like, no apparent reason? It will be interesting to see if that rears its head in the last series of the season between the two teams, but it feels so very long ago so honestly who knows.

Fansided: Kansas City Royals: Did team make a mistake not trading Whit Merrifield?

Dayton Moore may have made a mistake that could eventually come back to haunt the Kansas City Royals. At the trade deadline, Whit Merrifield was drawing significant interest from the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, and Philadelphia Phillies but informed them it would take a significant haul to part with the 30-year old.

"It's hard to predict. You know, Whit is somebody that, you know, I think we gave away two or three Whit Merrifield autographed balls today. I mean, the players, the young people in our community identify with Whit. That's really important for us.
