I like the value with the Mets here. they are the Cinderella story of 2019 and have the better match ups in this one. Thor gives this team the edge in this one as we done have a big enough sample size to say anything significant about the young guy Civale. Mets ML here

    My Pick: New York -137

NEO Sports Insiders: Indians Look to Escape from New York with a Win Over the Mets After Two Straight Losses

The Indians have had two tough losses at the hands of old friend Mickey Callaway and the New York Mets in Citi Field, and tonight will look to salvage the finale of the series.

The Tribe remains three games back in the AL Central of the Twins, sitting at 75-53. Tonight they send Aaron Civale (1-2, 1.50 ERA) to the mound against Mets ace Noah Syndergaard (8-6, 3.86).

Wednesday was a tough setback as the Indians held a 3-2 lead after a Carlos Santana homer in the 10th, only to see closer Brad Hand falter for a third straight time in trying to convert a save, as the team fell 4-3.

ESPN.com: Mets, Indians learn sometimes little things -- not long ball -- make difference

NEW YORK -- Like so many games in this season of bountiful home runs, it appeared a home run would decide Wednesday's clash between playoff contenders at Citi Field.

Carlos Santana, the veteran first baseman who has been Cleveland's best hitter all season, slugged his 30th home run in the top of the 10th inning, drilling a Luis Avilan changeup into the left-field seats to give the Indians a 3-2 lead over the Mets.

A few minutes later, Santana would be involved in the key play of the game -- one small play that gets to the heart of the ongoing, oftentimes stormy debate about the barrage of home runs and strikeouts and the declining amount of action aside from all those home runs and strikeouts.
