Dodgers are playing like they want to win championship. They dont joke around anymore. They are putting nice offensive powers and they have great pitchers. Buehler is their #2 pitcher and I doubt Miami can do any damage today. Miami just wants to end this series so they can play the next srie.

    My Pick: Los Angeles -270 & Under 7 50%

Dodgers will also take today seriously despite having win the Miamis like crazy during the series. Dodgers and Yankees have exact same scores right now so Im sure both teams will take it seriously LA -270 & Under 7 50%

This line will most likely close around 300 like kershaw did yesterday and I'm sure it will be the same result. While I do think Caleb Smith is one of the marlins more talaneted pitchers, he is very wild at times and I hate his high walk rate. Most of the time when the dodgers play crap teams I count on them losing when Madea or stripling are on the mound. But you can almost always lock them in for a win when it's Buehler and kershaw

I'm pretty confident here with Buehler on the mound. Dodgers and Yanks are setting themselves up for the post season and everybody is getting in form. Smith has done okay for himself this year or at least better than I expected. He just doesn't have a complete team around him and along with the Yankees, the Dodgers are the best two teams in baseball.

    My Pick: Los Angeles -245 & Over 7.5 70%

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Miami Marlins on 2019-08-15 added by Covers

    Los Angeles Dodgers
(77% consensus). Not many pitchers would nitpick after throwing six shutout innings, but Los Angeles Dodgers' right-hander Walker Buehler is one of them. Buehler, who is 2-1 with a 1.89 ERA in five starts since the All-Star break, takes the ball Thursday afternoon and hopes to do better when Los Angeles tries for an emphatic season series sweep against the host Miami Marlins... http://bit.ly/2GhF85v

Fish Stripes: Marlins bust out bats in series finale vs. Dodgers

    MLB

The Marlins used a 13-run, 13-hit offensive barrage to surge past the Los Angeles Dodgers in Thursday's series finale, 13-7. Miami notched its first victory in 2019 against the Dodgers in the sixth and final head-to-head opportunity (1-5).

Walker Buehler was facing Miami for the second time this season, notching seven shutout innings with 11 strikeouts July 21 at Dodger Stadium, but Thursday saw the Marlins get to Buehler early and often. Brian Anderson--who closed the contest 3-for-4 with 3 RBI--singled off the right-hander in the first, driving home Jon Berti.

CBS Miami: Marlins Avoid Sweep, Break Out Big Bats In 13-7 Win Over Dodgers

    MLB

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) -- A tough week for the Miami Marlins got a nice reprieve during an afternoon game at Marlins Park.

The rout-filled Dodgers-Marlins season series ended Thursday, and look who's laughing now.

Last-place Miami turned the tables on NL West leader Los Angeles, winning 13-7 despite giving up four home runs, including Cody Bellinger's 40th.

"It wasn't a good day of pitching for us," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.

Despite the drubbing, the Dodgers increased their homer total this week at pitcher-friendly Marlins Park to 14, a franchise record for a three-game series. Max Muncy hit his 29th, Corey Seager his 12th and Kyle Garlick his third.

Mike Scioscia's Tragic Illness: Dodgers @ Marlins August 15, 2019 - Buehler and the dong hitters

    MLB

The Dodgers are going for a 3-game sweep of the Marlins this afternoon behind Walker Buehler. He faces off against the Marlins' best pitcher (player?) in Caleb Smith.

Buehler will look to replicate (or best) what Clayton Kershaw did last night against the Marlins' lineup. It was his best outing of the season by GameScore, and it isn't a coincidence that it came in a game in which he got a season-high 17 swinging strikes.

Buehler is coming off six scoreless innings against the Diamondbacks that resulted in a no-decision.

Mike Scioscia's Tragic Illness: Dodgers @ Marlins August 14, 2019: Kershaw vs. Hernandez

    MLB

The Dodger dongs were flying out of Marlins Park on Tuesday night. Now the Dodgers (80-41) go for their fourth straight victory and the series win against the Marlins (44-74) Wednesday in game two of three in Miami. They've won 11 of their last 13 games.

    Rios C Alfaro

Clayton Kershaw (11-2, 2.77 ERA, 3.37 FIP) just missed out on pitching on International Lefthanders Day Tuesday, but a dominant Kershaw start is reason for celebration any day of the year.

Dodger Blue: How Kristopher Negron Prevented Dodgers From Making MLB History Against Marlins

With their depth sapped because of injuries to Kike Hernandez and Chris Taylor, the Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Kristopher Negron from the Seattle Mariners three days before the July 31 trade deadline.

The light-hitting utility man got off to a smashing start with the Dodgers, clubbing a home run in his first at-bat with the team. Negron went on to put together a career-best seven-game hitting streak as he was moved all around the field.

The 33-year-old was not in the lineup Tuesday night but entered in the sixth inning as a pinch-runner after A.J. Pollock hit his third double in as many at-bats.
