I love the Twins here at plus odds. They proved they could beat this team at home yesterday and I think there is a good chance it happens again here

    My Pick: Minnesota +101

Gotta go with the Brew Crew here. Gio passes the eye test for me as Kyle Gibson has looked terrible as of late. Plus the Twins are trending downwards as they are begining to lose their hold on the division with the Indians surging. Despite the outcome yesterday the Brewers have the better match up in this one.

    My Pick: Milwaukee -115

I do not trust Kyle Gibson and Gio Gonzalez is the better hurler in this matchup. Gio Gonzalez has been steady, and he has only allowed one run in each of his last two outings against two high scoring teams in the Cubs and Rangers. I like Milwaukee here at even money; the Brew Crew is the hotter team with the better pitcher.

(56% consensus). The Minnesota Twins on Monday found themselves in second place for the first time since April 20 but regained the top spot in the American League Central one day later and look to stay there when they visit the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday afternoon for the finale of their two-game interleague series. Marwin Gonzalez belted a go-ahead, three-run homer in the eighth inning as the Twins posted a 7-5 win on Tuesday to move one-half game ahead of Cleveland in the division... http://bit.ly/2E6GXfj

Fansided: Minnesota Twins postgame report: Late HR lifts Brewers over Twins

Minnesota Twins fans are probably getting sick of this refrain by this point in the season. On Wednesday, the Twins were able to get off to a strong start against the Milwaukee Brewers and jumped out to an early lead in support of Kyle Gibson.

Although they took a 5-3 lead into the eighth inning, Sergio Romo would give up a three-run home run to Trent Grisham that led the Brewers to a 6-5 victory.

Although the end result was a letdown for a team looking to extend its lead in the American League Central, there were plenty of positives that the Twins could take away from this game at the plate.

Brew Crew Ball: Brewers come back late to win big game against Twins, 6-5

    MLB

It is not often the Brewers play a team that hits more home runs than they do, but they did today in the form of the Minnesota Twins. The Twins added to their franchise record breaking total in this one as they launched three.

They got started really early with Mitch Garver who led the game of with a home run off Brewers' starter Gio Gonzalez. This time he hit it just over the right field wall.. Later in the inning Eddie Rosario launched a solo shot off Gonzalez for a 2-0 early lead.

The Brewers answered in the bottom half of the inning.

Brew Crew Ball: Series Preview: Minnesota Twins @ Milwaukee Brewers

    MLB

The last time we saw the Minnesota Twins, it was the day after Memorial Day and Minnesota had MLB's best record at 37-17 after splitting two games with the Brewers.

They had a 10-game lead over Cleveland in the AL Central, and that lead would grow as large as 11.5 games as late as June 3rd, with Minnesota holding a record of 40-18.

The Twins enter Miller Park tonight trailing Cleveland in the AL Central by a half-game.

You could call it a collapse, but they've basically treaded water since that point in early June, going 31-30 in that time while Cleveland has gone an unreal 43-17.

Brew Crew Ball: Hader blows it again, Brewers fall to Twins 7-5

    MLB

Chase Anderson got the start for the Milwaukee Brewers in their series opener against the Minnesota Twins, and from the start it looked like he was going to have to battle through this one. He worked around a walk in the first inning and then a base knock and hit batter in the second while posting zeroes, but the Twinkies broke through in the third inning. Max Kepler walked to lead off the frame ahead of Mitch Garver, who has quietly been one of the best hitters in baseball this year. Garver deposited a first-pitch fastball from Anderson over the fence for his 22nd bomb of the year to make it 2-0.

Brew Crew Ball: Gio Gonzalez to start series finale for Milwaukee Brewers against Minnesota

    MLB

The Milwaukee Brewers started their current series with the Minnesota Twins by lining up "TBD" behind Chase Anderson in the series opener. After last night's 7-5 loss, manager Craig Counsell told reporters that Gio Gonzalez would start the series finale on Wednesday afternoon, after the idea of a bullpen day had been previously tossed around.

Gonzalez last started for Milwaukee on August 9th against Texas, going five innings while allowing just one earned run. That would put him on a normal amount of rest coming into today's outing. Gonzalez has been excellent for the Brewers this year since signing in late April, at least when he's been healthy; he owns a 3.
