This game has red flags all over it. Why are the brewers only -138 against the Giants? This seems kind of square to be locking the brewers because I said the same thing when Kershaw faced Pomeranz and these Giants. Davies has a SIERA of 5 so that worries me. Pomeranz does a great job against lefties and that's where the brewers best bats are. I like the Giants +1.5 here but there is a case to be made for +128

My Pick: San Francisco +128 50%

LOCK OF THE DAY!! I fully expect the Brewers to explode in Drew Pomeranz face in this one. The Brewers clean up against teams below .500, sporting a 19-8 record against opponents with a losing record this season. They also played the Astros tough this last week scoring 14 runs in their two-game series in Houston. Plus they got their version of an ace on the mound. Lock this one up and head straight to the bank

    My Pick: Milwaukee -136

The Milwaukee Brewers come into this series on a heater winning 4 of their last 5 and Davies has only allowed five runs in his last 19 innings. Davies also has a 1.88 ERA in 43 innings on the road. It's impossible to get behind Pomeranz in his current form. Descent odds on Brewers on the road here at only -135.

    My Pick: Milwaukee -136

McCovey Chronicles: Giants vs. Brewers, 6/14

    MLB

It doesn't feel great going from the Warriors to this weekend's series against the Brewers, just from a "watching competitive sporting events" standpoint. The Brewers figure to roll over the Giants. The inherent unpredictability of baseball might stop that, but then again, here's a fun pre-game note:

Half of the players making up the #Brewers everyday lineup are on pace to set a career-high for home runs in a season.

    Christian Yelich - 25 (36)
    Mike Moustakas - 21 (38)
    Yasmani Grandal - 15 (27)
    Orlando Arcia - 8 (15)-- Zach Heilprin (@ZachHeilprin) June 13, 2019

Those four combined have hit nine more than the Giants have as a team (69 to 60).

Brew Crew Ball: Game Thread #69: Milwaukee Brewers (39-29) @ San Francisco Giants (28-38)

    MLB

After a split in Houston, the Brewers are off to the West Coast, spending a week there to face both the Giants and Padres. The Giants are up first, and they've been going through another rough season as they are looking to rebuild their team. Zach Davies will be up first, looking to put up a better outing then his previous start against the Pirates. He'll face Drew Pomeranz, who had a scoreless appearance in his last start but has allowed at least two runs in his five starts before that.

Here's the starting nine for the Brewers for tonight's game:

After an off-day in San Francisco, we are well-rested and ready to take on the Giants.

Brew Crew Ball: Series Preview: Milwaukee Brewers @ San Francisco Giants

    MLB

After another day off, the Brewers will hope to carry the momentum from stealing a game against one of baseball's best teams into a series against one of baseball's worst teams.

The San Francisco Giants come into the weekend in last place in the NL West at 28-38, but a pythagorean record of 25-41 based on their -83 run differential, the second-worst total in the league behind only the Pittsburgh Pirates -- who the Brewers have made a habit of beating this month.

Through 66 games, the Giants have the second-worst OPS in all of baseball at .
