Love the Cubs at these odds. The Cubs offense has not struggled to put up runs recently and I dont see that stopping in this one. Kershaw owns an ugly 4.82 ERA against Chicago since the 2016 season and he totaled just 9 innings of work in two starts against them during that span. On the other hand, Lester has had decent success against the Dodgers and he pitched well against them earlier this year. Seager being down takes some pop out of the Dodgers lineup, which should help Lester keep runs off the board. I will look for the Cubs to get a win here on the road.

    My Pick: Chicago +155 60%

  • Lester has given up four or more earned runs in four of his last five starts. Kershaw is coming off his first loss of the season, but he's allowed just 17 earned runs in his last 46 innings. The Dodgers have lost back-to-back regular season games with Kershaw on the mound just once since last July. The Dodgers offense is also due for a breakout performance after a funk they've been in this week. I like the Dodgers here but at -175 the only play is the RL (-120).

(66% consensus). The Los Angeles Dodgers have sputtered while losing four of their last six games and could be without a key player when they open a 11-game homestand Thursday night against the Chicago Cubs. The National League-best Dodgers were swept by the Los Angeles Angels in a two-game interleague series to start the week and shortstop Corey Seager suffered a hamstring injury Tuesday that could force him to miss some time...

Mike Scioscia's Tragic Illness: Cubs @ Dodgers June 13, 2019: Dodgers look to get back on track with Kershaw on the mound

The Dodgers (45-23) left Anaheim with two more games in the loss column then they arrived there with. It's always annoying to lose to the Angels, but the Dodgers still have the best record in the NL. After a day off and a night of dancing to Bruno Mars, the Cubs (37-29) come to town for a four-game series to kick off a 10-game homestand for the Dodgers. The Cubbies took two of three from the Dodgers at Wrigley Field in Chicago back in late April.

Although the Dodgers dropped both games in Orange County, the biggest loss was of shortstop Corey Seager.

Think Blue: Dodgers Look to Rebound Against Cubs

Wednesday is thankfully an off day for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as the fans and team alike deal with two bad loses against the Angels, and absorbing the blow that Corey Seager will once again be sidelined for an extended period of time.

Seager pulled up and grabbed his left hamstring in the ninth inning of Tuesday night's game, and has initially been diagnosed with a Grade 2 plus strain. He will undergo an MRI today, and is expected to be out at least four to six weeks. Not that an injury ever comes at a good time, but it's especially unfortunate as Seager was just really starting to hit his stride at the plate.
