I want Means to do well and he is pitching well he just doesn't have the wins to back up how well he has pitched. This is a problem for a couple of pitchers on both teams. Means is the better pitcher today and I think he gets to celebrate a win today. Toronto is really struggling to put points on the board.60%

I like the Orioles to get a win between two of the bottom dwellers in the league. The Orioles are a terrible 8-23 at home this year which is crazy to consider, but the JAys are not a much better road team going 11-20. What I do like about the Orioles is their starter John Means is fairly reliable and he should be able to limit a struggling Toronto offense. Means just limited a strong Rangers lineup to one run in six innings, and he has only allowed two runs in his last two starts spread across 12 innings. Plus the Blue Jays are in free fall right right where they have dropped 10 out of their last 12 games overall, and they were just swept at home by Arizona. Their young lineup only managed a total of four runs in that series, and I will look for that trend to continue60%

Who's the biggest loser? lol Means has been considerably better than Thornton who is 1-4 on the year and carrying nearly a 5 ERA. Wrong team favored here today. Give me the O's at home +11070%

Baltimore Orioles (67% consensus). The Baltimore Orioles staggered to a major league-worst 115 losses a year ago and are tied for the worst record in baseball this season, but they have one attainable goal when they open a six-game homestand against the reeling Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night. Buried in the American League East cellar, the Orioles are only three games behind reeling fourth-place Toronto... http://bit.ly/2J4p58z

Camden Chat: Orioles beat Blue Jays 4-2 in yet another solid John Means start
In a rare display of competency, the Orioles beat the Blue Jays 4-2 on Tuesday night. The victory was the result of yet another impressive start from John Means, a solid performance from the bullpen and just enough offense from the lineup. These guys really are capable of playing compelling baseball from time to time!
The night did not get off to the best start for the Orioles starter, Means. It began with a lead-off home run off the bat of Blue Jays second baseman Eric Sogard on the fourth pitch of the game.
Camden Chat: Tuesday night Orioles game thread: vs Blue Jays, 7:05
It's been a tough year on the field for the Orioles, and it only got tougher with today's announcement that pitcher Alex Cobb will not be returning to the mound this season. Luckily, we can distract ourselves a bit tonight because John Means, one of this team's few bright spots this season, will keep on keeping on.
Every outing that goes by improves the odds that Means will receive at least a few Rookie of the Year votes, and he may very well win the thing outright! It gives us all something to root for.
Batter's Box Interactive Magazine: Blue Jays at Orioles - June 11-13
The 23-42 Blue Jays take on the 20-45 Orioles. The Orioles will be hoping for a sweep to get themselves out of being alone in last place in the division because, as we all know, misery loves company. Misery loves company could be the sub-heading for this series with both teams tanking 2019. This is the start of a 16 game stretch without an off-day for the Jays. After this three gamer, they play 13 against the Astros, Angels, Red Sox and Yankees so make hay against the Orioles guys.
The schedule looks like this:

Camden Chat: Orioles-Blue Jays series preview: The other guys of the AL East
You have to go all the way back to the second series of the season to find the last time the Orioles played the Blue Jays. The O's won the first two games in Toronto by scores of 6-5 and 2-1, but lost the third by a score of 3-5.
More than two months into the season, the 23-42 Blue Jays stand a couple games better than the cellar-dwelling Orioles. Toronto is 2-8 in their last game 10 games, while Baltimore is 3-7. The O's run differential (-124) is even worse than that of the Jays (-82).
Fansided: Baltimore Orioles: Youth Movement On Center Stage Vs Toronto Blue Jays
A lot has changed since the last time the Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays took the field against each other. Back in early April, the Orioles were winning baseball games, Cedric Mullins was a fixture at the top of the lineup, Nate Karns was an opener, and David Hess was good.
Now, Mullins is in AAA and watching him on a nightly basis hurts, Hess is on the fast track to making history (not the good kind), and everyone forgot the team even signed Karns. Say what you will about the Baltimore Orioles (looking at you Jon Heyman), but at least we have John Means!
