I like what Anderson is doing right now Oakland backs him today against Leake who hasn't been horrible but he hasn't been good either and I think Oakland gets to him early and hangs on.

    My Pick: Oakland -141 & Under 9.5

This pick makes me a little sick because Mike Leake has looked like dog shit so far and hasn't been good for a while. I just think 9.5 in Oakland is a red flag and that's just too high. Brett anderson is a ground ball pitcher who limit hard contact and only gives up an iso of .134 so I don't see Seattle really teeing off on him. But it's Leake I'm worried about, but this reminds me of that stretch with Homer Baily where we just see the name and think "batting practice" so we instantly pound the over. Homer had four unders in a row and I think we see that today, Leake has to have a decent game or he wouldn't be in the big leagues so I'm going to go against the grain and say he looks semi okay and this game stays under today.

    My Pick: Under 9.5

Seems like a trap but Leake is like a leaky gas can and can explode at any time...I'll go with the over since Oakland has been scoring a lot lately Over 9.5 60%

The Seattle Mariners and the Oakland Athletics have combined for an average of 9.5 runs through the first two games of their weekend series, and that's where the total sits for today's finale. Mike Leake and Brett Anderson are the starting pitchers, and let's just say that there have been enough runs scored in their games to warrant a strong look at the total in this one. The Seattle Times: Frustrations boil over for Mariners as they're swept in Oakland, losing streak at six

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Matt Chapman homered for the second consecutive day, Josh Phegley also went deep and had three RBI, and the streaking Oakland Athletics won their ninth straight, beating the Seattle Mariners 7-1 to complete a three-game sweep Sunday.

Brett Anderson allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings to win after being forced out of his previous start with a cervical strain. Anderson (6-3) struck out four and walked four, but got the Mariners to hit into double plays in three straight innings.

The A's streak is their longest of the season but comes with a caveat.

Athletics Nation: Game Thread #54: Athletics vs Mariners

The A's have shown a knack for fighting back against adversity this season. Jurickson Profar is looking like the Jed Lowrie replacement the lineup needed after a trying time to start the year. Mike Fiers bounced back from an awful April with a no-hitter and a strong May. The bullpen, which led all of MLB in blown saves through the first month, is now one of the top forces in the game, as anticipated. Demoralizing losing streaks are immediately followed by exhilarating winning streaks.

The final obstacle for the team to overcome is the elusive Sunday win. The A's have zero wins, seven losses, and one TBD record on Sundays, with last week's game getting postponed until September.
