    STATE COLLEGE, Pa.-- The Temple men's cross country team earned first place at the Penn State National Open Friday morning at the Blue and White Courses. Zach Seiger finished fifth overall and first for the Owls with his time of 25:36.7.

  • Official Site of the Owls: Men's Basketball Names Captains for 2019-20 Season

    PHILADELPHIA - Temple University Men's Basketball head coach Aaron McKie has selected senior Quinton Rose and juniors Nate Pierre-Louis and J.P. Moorman II as the captains for the 2019-20 season, his first as the program's head coach.

    "We are going to have three captains this year, Quinton Rose, Nate Pierre-Louis, and J.P. Moorman II. The selection process was easy as those guys earned it throughout the summer," said McKie, who is the first Temple alum to serve as the program's head coach since Hall of Famer Harry Litwack (1952-73).

    PHILADELPHIA - With the release of the American Athletic Conference schedule, Temple men's basketball has completed its full slate of games for the 2019-20 season.
    Twenty-six of the program's 31 games will be televised with Temple appearing on ESPN entities 20 times. Five other contests will be broadcasted by CBS Sports Network while the USC game will be carried by the Pac12 Network. Television negotiations for the remaining seven contests are ongoing with most expected to be broadcast.

    "This is an incredibly challenging schedule and carries on the legacy of Hall of Fame coaches John Chaney and Fran Dunphy," said first-year head coach Aaron McKie.

    NASSAU, The Bahamas - Three up, three down for the Temple men's basketball team as the Aaron McKie era opened with a sweep of its Bahamian Tour schedule. The Owls completed their trifecta Tuesday with an 88-74 victory over a Bahamian Select Team.
    Highlights

    It was another balanced attack by the Owls as five players scored in double figures. Justyn Hamilton, JP Moorman II and Damion Moore led the Cherry and White with 13 apiece while Quinton Rose added 12 and Nate Pierre-Louis chipped in with 11 points.

    NASSAU, The Bahamas - After a thrilling come-from-behind win Saturday, the Temple men's basketball team ran away from the IBA Select team early and never let up in a 94-67 win. The Owls led 36-7 after the first quarter and extended the margin to 40 points, 59-19, at the break.

    Coach Aaron McKie decided to utilize his inside game early, feeding junior Justyn Hamilton early. Hamilton, who tied for team scoring honors with 13 points, tallied nine in the first five minutes to help lift the Owls to a 20-5 lead.
