Matt Carasiti is going for Seattle this afternoon, the rookie right-hander will serve as the opener for a fifth time, having allowed one run in four innings. Carasiti will be followed by veteran lefty Wade LeBlanc (5-2, 5.02 ERA). Mengden has been a serviceable starter for the A's and probably worth the -130 odds with Carasiti and Leblanc goin for Seattle. I'll lay the the juice.

    My Pick: Oakland -130 50%

Flaherty has sputtered of late and he has especially struggled on the road this season, going 1-2 with a 6.81 ERA over 38.1 innings in eight starts. San Francisco gets Samardzija on the mound today and he pitched well in shutting down San Diego in his last start and I think he gives the Giants the upper hand in this one. Gotta love the Giants here at +108

My Pick: San Francisco +108 50%

Fried's recent inconsistencies with his curveball have led him to begin leaning more heavily on his slider. The breaking ball combo has helped halt the struggles he experienced during his first three starts this month. The Mets are starting Syndergaard, who has been on the injured list since June 16 so he is a bit of a wildcard today. If forced to play this game, I'd lean Atlanta here because of there bats and the ? mark around Syndergaard.

    My Pick: Atlanta -105 50%

Ray has been legit of late averaging 11.8 strikeouts per nine innings, 0.3 short of his NL-leading average from 2017. Bumgarner struck out a season-high 11 over six innings against the Rockies on Tuesday but has looked human this for most of the season with a 4-7 record and 4.12 ERA. This pitching matchup is a coin flip but the D-backs get the edge with their 9th ranked offense going against San Fran's 28th ranked offense. Give me Arizona as a virtual pick em' here.

    My Pick: Arizona -107 50%

Bailey has given up just one run in his last three starts covering 19 innings. Stroman has posted a strong 3.04 ERA in 17 starts and is coming off a scoreless outing vs. the Red Sox. I expect we see Stroman's best stuff ahead of the trade deadline. Toronto wins a 5-3 type game, I'm leaning Toronto but the Unders are the smarter play.

I'm not sure why Cleveland is the favorite in this game. Minor is better than Bieber, Texas offense is better and the Rangers are at home. Love Texas here this afternoon.

The Milwaukee Brewers come into this series on a heater winning 4 of their last 5 and Davies has only allowed five runs in his last 19 innings. Davies also has a 1.88 ERA in 43 innings on the road. It's impossible to get behind Pomeranz in his current form. Descent odds on Brewers on the road here at only -135.

    My Pick: Milwaukee -136 50%

***OVER 7.5*** Lucchesi hasn't been the most consistent pitcher in the world this season and he has a 6.75 ERA. Anderson has had his issues as well, and he has a 4.80 ERA and .302 allowed batting average at home. While offense has been an issue for the Padres during this losing stretch and scoring is like pulling teeth for the Giants, this feels like a game where both lineups can get comfortable and get their offense going. 7.5 just feels low here with these two guys on the hill tonight.

He practiced at half speed and ESPN reported that Durant walked onto the court after his teammates and was one of the first players to return to the locker room after practice. He then reappeared with an ice pack wrapped around his right calf. If we see KD tonight I think it's going to be limited. Live betting was made for games like this. ;)

Corbin has been very good this season but did get touched up agains the Mets in his lasting outing. I predicted the Nats would be -150 or so here today but -215 just seems outrageous. I like Alcantara and the Marlins have won 4 out of their last 5. At 2X on your money here today, we've got to take a flyer on the Marlins.

I think Lopez is better than his ERA and has been much sharper of late. t's not Lopez that I am worried about for this matchup, it's the bullpen for the White Sox continuing to stink it up, I like the OVER 9 here tonight and predict theTwins will explode at the plate in the latter innings.

I faded Houston last night and hit White Sox +180. Going to join you and fade them again today.

Teheran has also found his groove lately allowing just 1 run in 17 innings pitched and the Braves have been piling up W's. The San Francisco Giants are throwing out a pitcher in Anderson who has just five career innings under his belt. This talented Braves lineup should help welcome the inexperienced right-hander to the big leagues.

    My Pick: Atlanta -108 50%

The Giants have high hopes for Shaun Anderson and Jackson is average at best. I wouldn't touch this game with a 10 foot pole, but will be watching. Enjoy.

Giannis is a great player but when the refs protect him, allow him to push off, and give him a foul for every missed shot then he becomes the basketball version of Superman.
