Boston ended the year making sure they all got time off and then they skunk up the fist game. I think they bounce back tonight but I still don't think they win this series.60%

Celtics are healthy and after the slow start to Game 1, I think they take care of business here at home. I'm going to leave the Over/Under alone even though going Over seems enticing. We all saw what happened in game 1 when defense played a big role in the outcome.

Love the over here, folks. Game 1 was a messy offensive performance by both sides but 3 out of 4 games between these two teams went over 204 during the regular season. Looking back at Boston, they went over 204 in the final 19 games of the Season too. Indy needs this to be ugly to stay in it but I don't think Boston turns it over 20 times and shoots that poorly (36% in game 1). They'll be more sound in the offensive gameplan and in order to stick around, Indy will need to hit shots. Would definitely parlay Boston on the ML.50%

The Boston Celtics won game one by double digits, and that was with them shooting a brutal 36.4 percent from the field. I expect even a better shooting performance from the Celtics this time around on their home court. The Pacers just don't have enough consistent offense to be much of a threat in this series, lay the points.

Gimme Kyrie and the C's here. Indiana played solid basketball in the first half against the Celtics but couldnt recover after Boston came out swinging to start the second half. The Pacers now have to try and regroup after being suffocated offensively in the opener. Its games like the opener where the loss of Victor Oladipo is felt the most. He could find a way to get looks and deliver buckets when Indiana really needed them. Without him, the Pacers dont have that reliable go-to guy who can drive to the bucket as well as knock down perimeter shots. Bogdanovic can hit shots but hes more of a spot-up type of guy as opposed to a slasher. Boston figured things out in the second half and, as we saw in the opening two rounds last season, they are tough to beat at home. Look for the Celtics to prevail here to take a 2-0 series advantage.

Fansided: Pacers throw away their chances of winning Game 2 against the Celtics
Whether it was Wesley Matthews or Bojan Bogdanovic's fault on the ill-fated out of bounds play, the Indiana Pacers fourth quarter scoring drought was as much of or more of a problem than that turnover. (Update: Wesley took the blame.)
Make no mistake, any chance of winning the game was figuratively and literally thrown away at that moment, but another awful offensive quarter was at the heart of Indiana's collapse.
The Pacers didn't make a single two-pointer or free throw in the final period while they went 4 of 17 (23.5%) from the field. That's only slightly worse than Game 1's 2 of 19 (10.
Boston.com: Bill Belichick, numerous Patriots attend Celtics-Pacers Game 2
Amid his pre-draft prep, Patriots coach Bill Belichick stopped by TD Garden to take in Game 2 of the Celtics-Pacers first-round playoff series.
A frequenter of Boston sporting events, Belichick, who turned 67 years old on Tuesday, was joined by his longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday. The couple sat courtside, next to Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck and his wife Emilia Fazzalari.
In between the first and second quarters, Belichick, wearing jeans and a suit jacket over a light blue button-down shirt, cracked a smile upon being shown on the center-court video board.
ESPN.com: Celtics say Horford will try to play vs. Pacers
Boston Celtics big man Al Horford, who is listed as questionable with an illness, will try to play in Wednesday night's first-round playoff game against the Indiana Pacers.
"He's going to try to give it a go," Celtics coach Brad Stevens said. "He'll go through warm-ups and we'll try to figure it out."
Stevens said Horford told the team he felt sick Tuesday night. The coach said they were worried it was a 24- to 48-hour thing, but Horford said Wednesday morning he was feeling better.
He was not at shootaround, but arrived Wednesday night determined to play in Game 2 of the series at TD Garden.

CelticsBlog: Game 1 Celtics-Pacers Running Diary
Good afternoon, CelticsBlog. As I was sitting in my room and carving "SMART INJURED" into the wall of my psych ward cell 900 times, it occurred to me that today would be an emotional watch for Celtics fans. With all the necessary stakes of the playoffs, the looming free agent choices, and our first look at playoff Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, there was plenty to get angsty about.
Against my better judgement, I decided to keep a running diary of the game, to chart my own mental health and see how resilient Celtics fans (well... actually me) could be in the face of the playoffs coming off of a decidedly disappointing season.
