    • The Phillies are slowly slipping away and out of playoff contention. They are going to have a tough task as they are not a good road team going into an Elite squad. They also dont have the advantage in the pitching department which will be huge in this series. Keuchel is getting hot and that is not good news for the Phils

      My Pick: Atlanta -182

      • It's hard not to kind of like Philly at those odds but Keuchel has been lights out! In his last 6 starts he's given up just 4 ERs, striking out 35 over 37 Innings Pitched. This Braves team is just dominating it's opponenets and the Phillies are out of contention for the Wild Card at this point. It's not great value and I don't necessarily love a run line play here so look for a parlay to stack this into.

        My Pick: Atlanta -182

CBS Philly: Phillies Hang On To Edge Braves, 5-4

ATLANTA (AP) -- Rhys Hoskins and Jose Pirela hit two-run homers off Dallas Keuchel in Philadelphia's five-run fourth inning and the Phillies escaped in the ninth to beat Atlanta 5-4 on Tuesday night and prevent the Braves from moving closer to clinching the NL East.

Vince Velasquez (7-7) gave up two runs in the first before recovering with four straight scoreless innings. The right-hander allowed five hits in five innings.

Adeiny Hechavarria's pinch-hit homer off Jose Alvarez in the eighth cut Philadelphia's lead to two runs. Adam Duvall led off the ninth with a homer off Phillies closer Hector Neris, cutting the lead to one run.

Talking Chop: Nick Markakis starts in left for Braves in opener against Phillies

The Atlanta Braves will begin their final regular season homestand Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies. Atlanta begins play on Tuesday with a magic number of three to clinch the NL East division.

Dallas Keuchel will get the start for the Braves who will roll out their normal lineup. Nick Markakis will make his first appearance at home since returning from the injured list and will be hitting fifth and playing left field. Matt Joyce will hit sixth and play right while Tyler Flowers will catch Keuchel and hit seventh.

          -- Philadelphia Phillies (@Phillies) September 17, 2019

Philadelphia will counter with a right-handed heavy lineup against Keuchel.

The Good Phight: A completely objective Phillies vs. Braves series preview

Last week, I wrote a preview of the series between the Phillies and the Braves. How did Braves fans like my work? Let's just say they were less than impressed.

Here are some of the reactions the article received:

Whatever happens in this series, dude, you should never throw out this kind of Bulletin Board material to the other team, you're just asking for trouble... @680TheFan @929TheGame

          -- Matthew Butti (@mjbutti) September 9, 2019

And here's the one that really hurt:

This is honestly the worst piece of baseball writing I've ever seen.
