I love the under in this spot because both these pitchers are heavy groundball pitchers. Keuchel has a 58% rate on the season and Matz has a 47% rate. Neither pitcher a big strike out pitcher but they are very stingy and generate a ton of double plays. I just like the pitchers in this one and while taking a team like the braves against a south paw can feel gross with the under, I think it's the right play

    My Pick: Under 10

Love the Braves here in the battle of the lefties. Matz has improved since rejoining the starting rotation, but each of his last four starts came against non-playoff teams. He owns a 6.23 ERA in three starts against Atlanta this year which is what i'm going to go off of. New York has suddenly become relevant in the National League Wild Card race after winning 21 of their last 27 games. Despite their recent success, they will be faced with a tough task here against a Braves team that has given them some trouble as of late. Atlanta has won six of the last eight meetings in this series, including four of their last five games at SunTrust Park. Keuchel is looking to bounce back after his last start and should have the home crowd behind him in this one.

    My Pick: Atlanta -142

CBS: Braves Jump On Seth Lugo For 5 Runs In 7th, Beat Mets

    MLB

The Mets have lost three straight, including the first two of the three-game series with Atlanta, after winning 15 of 16 to move up in the NL wild-card chase.

Talking Chop: Game Thread 8/14/19: Braves vs. Mets

    MLB

After picking up a win against the Mets last night, the Braves are right back at it again tonight. Hopefully, we'll see the same result as last night and we'll also see a big bounce-back from Dallas Keuchel as well. It would be huge if he got rolling, so why not start up a hot streak of performances right now? No time is better than the present.

Talking Chop: Camargo, Duvall and Flowers return to the lineup for Braves game against Mets

    MLB

The Braves are back at it tonight against the Mets, as they look to hopefully clinch the series win with a victory against New York this evening. The lineups for both teams are as follows:

The top four is what you'd expect, and the onus is clearly going to be on them tonight to continue heating up like they have over recent times. Adam Duvall, Johan Camargo and Tyler Flowers are the newcomers. If you're wondering why Camargo's getting the start, it's probably because Charlie Culberson hasn't been playing the best in his most recent starts and also Camargo is 3-for-7 with a home run against Steven Matz.

Fansided: Atlanta Braves: Max Fried, Ronald Acuna shine in win over surging Mets

After a tough series with the Miami Marlins, the Atlanta Braves were probably more than ready to get back to SunTrust Park.

It definitely isn't fun to struggle against teams that have the record that the Marlins do. Although, it's safe to say that the teams with the least to lose are sometimes the toughest to face. The Braves were that team just a few short years ago.

Coming home to Atlanta is nice for the players but they also face a tough schedule during this 9-game homestand. They will square off with the Mets, Dodgers, and those pesky Marlins.

Elite Sports NY: New York Mets' Jeff McNeil set to have MRI in Atlanta (Report)

The New York Mets can't afford to lose anyone during this crowded National League Wild Card race. Unfortunately, Jeff McNeil is set to have an MRI in Atlanta after Tuesday's game, according to SNY's Andy Martino.

"Doesn't feel great. I don't think it's too terrible. We have no timeline," McNeil said via Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports. "See how it feels in the morning.

"Felt a little snag. Hopefully it's not bad. Maybe just a cramp I felt. We'll see."

McNeil has been a revelation for the Mets this year. His defensive versatility has given manager Mickey Callaway the option to move him around the field as he juggles the lineup.
