  • Royals are brutal on the road with a 14-34 record and I dont think that turns around here. Plutko should get plenty of run support as Jakob Junis has gone 2-4 with a 6.43 ERA in nine games against the Indians in his career, including 1-2 with a 3.33 ERA in four starts against them at Progressive Field.

    My Pick: Cleveland -170 70%

Jakob Junis is not a good pitcher and this Inidan team knows him very well and his history against them is horrible. This year in three games he's giving up 6, 4, and 5 earned runs against them. Adam Plutko isn't that great and is in poor form but he held this team in check last time he faced them and I don't know he wouldn't again today. I don't buy into this royals team that lacks power but has a lot of speed. I don't think it will be enough and no way the Indians should be shorter than -220 in my opinion and I'm going to hit this one hard.

    My Pick: Cleveland -162 50%

Both starters in this game will get hit hard, especially Junis, who has given up nearly a run an inning in his three starts against Cleveland this season. I expect the Tribe to get to Junis again tonight.

I like the Indians but I'm not sure Plutko will give up that many runs IMO. He's kind of in bad form but he only gave up one run last time he faced them. But the indians do smack the crap out of Junis so I like it 50%

Royals Review: Indians end the Royals winning streak as they claim game one, 10-5

    MLB

Winning six of the first seven games since the All-Star break, the Royals entered Cleveland as one of the hottest teams in baseball. Struggling to keep down the Indians lineup in the early going, Kansas City was bested by the Tribe in game one, 10-5.

Facing All-Star MVP Shane Bieber, the Royals offense looked to continue their impressive trend of five straight games with five runs or more. And in the bottom of the first, it was the inability of Biebers location and composure that tallied the first run of the game. After walking two to load the bases, the Cleveland starter balked home Alex Gordon to give Kansas City a 1-0 lead before the home half.

NEO Sports Insiders: Indians win sixth in a row, defeat Kansas City 10-5

    MLB

Cleveland- There are 162 games in the baseball season, and over the course of a season no two games are alike. Particularly when they are as weird as Cleveland's 10-5 win over the Royals Friday night. The Indians have won a tied a season high winning streak with six straight, including winning 12 of their last 14.

The first three innings provided plenty of confusion as the game featured three replays and a very suspect balk call on Indians pitcher Shane Bieber. Cleveland's first run Friday came via an overturned fielder choice call. Francisco Lindor scored on what was called a double-play hit by Jordan Luplow.
