I'm going to take smart and good risk reward at -130 on the RUNLINE (-1.5) with the Nats here tonight. 83% of the Orioles losses this season have come by 2 or more and the Nats are one of the hottest teams in baseball over the last month and a half winning 17 of their last 23. Beyond that, the Nats have won by that same margin in 78% of their wins! The ball flies off bats in Baltimore so always look for prop bets on opposing teams with pop in Baltimore.

    My Pick: Washington -185 80%

Austin Voth hasn't lived up to his top prospect rank and his splits are out of control. The guy gets lit up by left handed batters and is giving up a .466 wOBA right now to lefties. He has to deal with 6 in the projected lineup for the O's so they definiatly got the scouting report. I'll take my chances and take Baltimore at +165 here and I really like the +1.5 at +115.

I haven't seen enough from either one of these pitchers to determine how they truly impact a game but I do know the Nationals can hit. That may be all you have to know here. Well and the Orioles are rocking one of the worse offenses in the league. I'll take Washington today.

Camden Chat: Nationals wear down the Orioles in first matchup of the season, 8-1

    MLB

Once again, it was a frustrating night for the Orioles at Camden Yards. Their starting pitching wasn't terrible but every reliever allowed at least one run and the Nats kept finding ways to push across a run here and there. There were also numerous errors, mental and fielding alike. Not to mention, the Birds' offense was virtually non-existent.

Baltimore managed only four hits the entire game, going 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and leaving seven men on base.

The Nationals, on the other hand, were 5-for-11 with runners in scoring position. They scored eight runs on 12 hits.

Washington Times: Juan Soto gets bruised, hits bruising homer as Nationals beat Orioles

    MLB

BALTIMORE -- Juan Soto dropped to the ground, clutching his leg in pain. One minute, things looked dim. The next, Soto was trotting around the bases.

Soto's 443-foot home run two pitches after grounding a foul ball into his leg helped the Nationals secure an 8-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday at Camden Yards.

Anthony Rendon hit RBI doubles in the third and seventh innings and starter Austin Voth got his first win of 2019 for the Nationals (50-43).

The Nationals didn't get off to a strong start, but they did enough to beat the worst team in baseball, the Orioles (28-66).

Camden Chat: Tuesday night Orioles game thread: vs. Nationals, 7:05

    MLB

Orioles starter Asher Wojciechowski has faced Washington on two occasions in his career, pitching a total of seven innings while allowing one run, two hits, three walks and eight strikeouts. This will be his third start with the Birds. How long will he be able to gut it out and spare the bullpen tonight?

The Nationals have decided on 27-year-old right-hander Austin Voth to start game one of this series at Camden Yards. In the past year and a half he's got 27 total major league innings with the Nats, pitching to a 6.

Camden Chat: Orioles-Nationals series preview: An abbreviated Battle of the Beltway

    MLB

Is it still the Battle of the Beltway if it's really brief and only one team is gunning for the playoffs while the other is languishing in futility? Might be more of a skirmish than a battle.

The Orioles host the Nationals at Camden Yards for a brief two-game series starting tonight. Despite coming into town on a one-game losing streak, Washington has won eight of its last 10 games. They are currently 49-43, including an even .500 record on the road.

Facing a considerable void in star power with the departure of Bryce Harper this past offseason, the Nats are now led on offense by Anthony Rendon (.

Fansided: Baltimore Orioles: The O's May Be Catching The Nationals At The Right Time

For the first time, this season the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles will collide in the first of two 2019 beltway series Tuesday and Wednesday at Camden Yards in Baltimore.

The Orioles at 28-65 are simply looking to play spoilers to the inter-league rival Nationals who will enter play atop the National League Wild Card standings with a record of 49-43.

Early on it looked as if the Nationals were in for a long season as they fell 12 games under .500 after being swept by the New York Mets in a four-game series at the end of May.
