I loved seeing the post game interviews of Yamamoto in his last start. One of the reasons we love sports is to see guys work their ass off to finally see it pay off and I loved his emotion have that amazing start in he debut. Yamamota showed great control in his debut striking out out five and only walking 2 guys and giving up 3 hits in 7 innings of work. Granted he's not pitching in Miami but St Louis isn't a bad park for pitching either and I think he holds his own again tonight against the cards who haven't been rolling offensivly as of late. I also love Flaherty and think he's going to be a top pitching in this league and lets face it, the marlins are still the marlings. This game actaully opened at 8.5 and went down half a run quickly because I think sharps were pounding this line and with good reason. I'll take the under as well

    My Pick: Under 8

    St. Louis Cardinals
(67% consensus). Dexter Fowler sputtered through a disastrous May and the beginning of June wasn't much better until he started flexing his muscles at the plate. Fresh off hitting his third homer in four contests, Fowler looks to send the St. Louis Cardinals to their seventh win in nine outings on Tuesday when they continue their four-game series against the visiting Miami Marlins... http://bit.ly/2E6om38

St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Marlins rookie shuts down Cardinals once again

    MLB

Fowler did get a small measure of revenge by singling to left in the seventh inning. But that was only the Cardinals' second, and final, hit of the game as the Marlins went on to beat Jack Flaherty and the Cardinals' bullpen 6-0 at Busch Stadium.

The 23-year-old rigththander became the first pitcher since Pittsburgh's Nick Maddox in 1907 to defeat the Cardinals twice in a seven-game span when the first of the two games was his major league debut. Maddox held the Cardinals, a last-place team that year, to two runs in 18 innings and pitched his second complete game on two days' rest.

CBS Miami: Marlins Blanked 5-0 In St. Louis

    MLB

ST. LOUIS (CBSMiami/AP) -- It was the 13th time the Marlins have been shut out in their 45 losses this season.

Dexter Fowler and Matt Carpenter homered to back a strong outing by Miles Mikolas and lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 5-0 win over the Miami Marlins on Monday night.

Mikolas (5-7) snapped a career-high losing streak of five straight decisions. He had not won a game since May 6 against Philadelphia. In making his team-leading 15th start and second straight against the Marlins, Mikolas went six innings. He scattered six hits and struck out four.
