The Dbacks have been a suprise team so far in this MLB season and I will look for them to get the first win in this series with their ace on the mound. Their bats are heating up and starting to put a smack down on people which is lead by Escobar who is n fire for Arizona. The Diamondbacks are 5-0 in their last five against losing opponents, 5-1 in their last six against right-handed starters, 9-4 in Greinkes last 13 starts, and 7-2 in his last nine starts on four days of rest. Washington is 1-11 in its last 12 following an off day and 1-8 in Feddes last nine home starts. All these stats make for a solid play at -120 for the Dbacks here50%

Fedde has been sharp in his last few starts but against an ace pitcher like Greinke at this low of a price is a steal. I like the D-Backs to draw first blood with their ace on the mound.

Arizona Diamondbacks (78% consensus). The Washington Nationals' season appeared to be spiraling out of control late last month, with the club residing perilously close to the cellar of the National League East. The Nationals' fortunes soon changed, however, as they won 12 of their last 17 heading into the opener of a four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks... http://bit.ly/2J0z4vK

azcentral.com: Zack Greinke shuts down Nationals as Diamondbacks open series with win
By the Associated Press
WASHINGTON -- Zack Greinke took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Washington Nationals 5-0 on Thursday night.
Alex Avila and Jarrod Dyson homered for Arizona, which has won seven of eight.
Greinke (8-2) pitched 7 1/3 innings, leaving after a 63-minute rain delay. The right-hander struck out three without a walk.
He had faced the minimum when Trea Turner led off the seventh with a grounder between first and second. First baseman Christian Walker made a diving stop but was unable to get off a throw against the speedy Turner, who legged out an infield single.

AZ Snake Pit: Series Preview #23: Diamondbacks at Nationals
After a trip to Philly, the Diamondbacks stay on the East Coast and take on the Nationals. After a very interesting off seasons for Washington, so far they haven't had nearly as interesting a regular season. Currently 31-36 and 8 games back of the Braves in the NL East, the Nats are struggling so far this season.
Game 1: Zack Greinke (7-2, 2.87 ERA, 0.93 WHIP) vs. Erick Fedde (1-0, 2.93 ERA, 1.20 WHIP)
Zack Greinke continues his great season. Last time out against the Jays, he threw six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, and the neck stiffness from the start before didn't seem to impact him at all.
Federal Baseball: Gerardo Parra has injected new life into the Nationals both on and off the diamond
It's been just over a month now since the Washington Nationals picked up Gerardo Parra off the scrap heap after he was released by the San Francisco Giants. But in a short time, he's already become one of the more influential players both on and off the field.
"He's a veteran guy that loves to play," manager Dave Martinez said of Parra.
"He's very smart, he's a smart player and loves to play the game, and I'm glad that we were able to get him."
Between the lines, Parra currently owns a .
