Love Houston at home here. The Brewers are sending out Freddy Peralta who has been absolutely disastrous in the first innings of games. He also has an 11.63 ERA in the first inning this year, a 6.25 ERA as a starter and a 6.91 ERA in interleague play in his career. The Astros offense should feast on him, considering that they average 5.03 rpg at home for the year. On the other side Astros starter Brad Peacock comes in with a 2.12 ERA in his last three starts and a 2.38 ERA at home for the year, plus a strong 1.80 ERA in eight night starts this year. The Brewers have a top tier lineup, but I think Peacock can do enough to get his team the win here.

    My Pick: Houston -116

(74% consensus). The Houston Astros, runaway leaders of the American League West, step into interleague play when they host the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday in the first contest of a two-game set. Houston has won five straight series and is 10-0-1 in its last 11 sets despite missing key regulars such as George Springer, Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa after taking two of three from Baltimore over the weekend... http://bit.ly/2E6Lezs

Brew Crew Ball: Series Preview: Milwaukee Brewers @ Houston Astros

The Houston Astros aren't a baseball team, they're a remorseless killing machine.

Other than the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Brewers likely won't play a better team this year. Houston ranks 3rd in the majors in offensive WAR, 4th in pitching WAR (the Dodgers and Rays are the only other teams to appear in the top 5 in both), 2nd in wRC+, 2nd in wOBA, 3rd in ERA, and 4th in FIP.

At 45-22, they're tied with the Dodgers for the best record in baseball, and already have a 99.

The Crawfish Boxes: 2019 Series Preview #22: Milwaukee Brewers @ Houston Astros

Sup, everyone. Scott filling in for CK this week as we preview the three-game series pitting the Houston Astros against a former NL Central rival and now interleague for, the Milwaukee Brewers. Before we dive into this weekend's matchup against the Brewers, a quick recap of the previous series:

The Astros are coming off a series victory against the Baltimore Orioles in which they won two of three contests. Houston fell behind 3-0 early in the first game but rallied with two homeruns in the fifth inning to tie the game, which eventually went to extra innings.

Cionel Perez gave the Astros, who were coming off a 14-inning game in Seattle, a big boost by tossing three perfect innings in relief.
