The Oakland Athletics are simply playing much better baseball than the M's at the moment and there's no reason to even consider Seattle right now. Fiers has given up just four runs in his last 20 innings and has been highly successful at Oakland Coliseum since coming over in the middle of last season. Give me Oakland on the low line here today.

Gosh, the bulk of the board is pretty well matched today. Both pitchers are solid - what do you think about the under? 50%

with Fiers finding his groove and Kikuchi pitching well the under seems safer. Under 9 50%

The Seattle Times: Yusei Kikuchi has worst outing as Mariners lose 6-5 in Oakland, their fifth straight loss

    BOX SCORE

OAKLAND, Calif. - The frustration that filled Yusei Kikuchi as he handed the ball to manager Scott Servais couldn't be hidden. His face wore the emotion and his head shook in disappointment as he trudged off the field of the Oakland Coliseum with two outs still left in the fourth inning.

He'd suffered through an awful outing when his team desperately needed the opposite. His attempt to stop the losing ended far sooner than anticipated and without his expected level of success.

After being Seattle's best starter over the past month, Kikuchi delivered his worst outing of his brief MLB career and the Mariners could never recover in a 6-5 loss to the A's.

CSN Bay Area: A's vs. Mariners lineups: Stephen Piscotty scratched late in Oakland

OAKLAND -- The A's will be without Stephen Piscotty as they take aim at their eighth straight win Saturday afternoon against the Seattle Mariners.

Piscotty was a late scratch due to a stomach illness. Manager Bob Melvin was unsure if he will be back in the lineup for Sunday's series finale. The A's right fielder went 3-for-4 with a home run in Friday's 6-2 win.

Matt Olson moves up to the cleanup spot, with Mark Canha batting fifth. The pair hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning Friday night.

Meanwhile, Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager will make his season debut and bat sixth after missing the first 53 games with a torn tendon in his left hand.
