St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Ozuna homers for fourth game in succession to help Wacha, Cards beat Brewers 6-3
MILWAUKEE * Marcell Ozuna wasn't too far behind his former Miami Marlins teammate Christian Yelich this week in a three-game series.
The Milwaukee Brewers' Yelich had four homers in the first two games of this three-game set with the Cardinals and eight in his first six games against the Cardinals this year. But Ozuna hit his third homer in three games in this series and fifth in his past four games when he lined his eighth of the season in the second inning to start the Cardinals on their way to a 6-3 win over Milwaukee in the series finale.
Fansided: St. Louis Cardinals: Stop whining about Christian Yelich being a Brewer
Brewers' outfielder Christian Yelich is hitting .524 with eight home runs in six games against the St. Louis Cardinals this season. Those are numbers that even Barry Bonds would envy. It's not fair. Every pitcher the Cardinals have sent up to face Yelich has gotten burnt in some way.
Yelich could win an MVP this year off of just playing against us, and a lot of fans have been complaining about why the Cardinals traded for Marcell Ozuna over Christian Yelich. It's a complicated situation, and it looks pretty bad on the Cardinals given the current level of performance of the two players.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Ozuna homers for fourth game in succession; Cardinals lead Brewers 4-0
MILWAUKEE * Marcell Ozuna is almost on a plane with former Miami Marlins teammate Christian Yelich.
The Milwaukee Brewers' Yelich had four homers in the first two games of this three-game set with the Cardinals and eight in six games against the Cardinals this year. But Ozuna hit his third homer in three games in this series and fifth in his past four games when he lined his eighth of the season to dead center field in the second inning Wednesday.
Ozuna, who also homered in four consecutive games for Miami in 2014, has hit all eight of his homers in the Cardinals' past 10 games.
Brew Crew Ball: Game thread #19: St. Louis (9-8) @ Milwaukee (12-6)
The Brewers go for the sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals this afternoon. Corbin Burnes will face off against Michael Wacha. Hopefully Burnes can get his issues resolved with the long ball in this one. The Brewers send out a lefty-heavy lineup:
The Cardinals give Yadier Molina the day off.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Yelich does the damage again as Brewers blast the Cardinals 8-4
Yelich, greeting rookie Ryan Helsley, making his major league debut in the fifth inning, launched his eighth homer in six games here against the Cardinals this season. That three-run drive gave him 18 runs batted in against the Cardinals and 24 in eight games dating back to two games in St. Louis in September last year. He has homered in the last seven games against the Cardinals in which he has had an official at-bat.
Giovanny Gallegos, back in the majors after a paper trail had him on the Memphis roster for a day, was brilliant in relief, fanning Yelich and four others in two innings.
