  • This game is all set up for an under play - both offenses will be facing pitching theyve struggled against: Chicago has a .238 team batting average against lefties, like Smyly, while Philadelphia is hitting just .240 against right-handed pitchers, like Darvish. Plus, 9.5 seems like a lot considering the fact that both pitchers have the stuff to pitch a gem on any given night. Im not saying its going to be an outright pitchers duel or anything but I can see the Phillies winning 5-2 or something similar.

    My Pick: Under 9.5

  • Seattle is the better baseball team and Milone may not have a stellar win-loss record, but he does have a nearly elite WHIP and is up against a Tigers team ranked #29 offensively. Another note here is that Detroit is also at the bottom of the American League against lefties. Value is with the Mariners this afternoon.

    My Pick: Seattle -115

  • ***LA ANGELS +235*** Not sure why Vegas is making Boston such a heavy favorite here today. Chris Sale simply ain't what he used to be...the lefty had another rough start in what has become an inconsistent season last time out against the Yankees, giving up nine hits and eight runs over 3 2/3 innings. At Fenway this season, Sale is 1-4 with a 4.76 ERA. Dillon Peters is going for the Angels and is coming off the longest outing by an Angels pitcher this season, allowing three runs over 7 2/3 innings against the Indians. He has a 2.70 ERA over his last three outings. Love the big plus money in this one as I think Peters gives the Angels 11th ranked offense gives them a fighting chance to win this one.

    My Pick: Los Angeles +235

  • German turned in one of his better starts of the year last time out, holding the Red Sox to two runs over seven innings while striking out seven. He is the only Yankees starter with an ERA under four (3.98) thanks to three quality starts since the All-Star break. Pannone tossed four no-hit frames vs. the O's before a four-run fifth last time out. The long reliever has been solid overall in two starts as the Blue Jays seek to plug holes left by the Trade Deadline, and Thursday will mark his third start. All things considered the Yankees should win this game but at +180 odds I'd take a flyer on Pannone and the Blue Jays at this price. ..but the safer bet might be on OVER 10.5

    My Pick: Over 10.5

  • This sets up for an easy win for Houston but -275 just isnt' bettable even on on the run line. The value bet here is on the OVER 10. Kikuchi has an ERA over 5 and the Seattle bullpen is REAL bad. Look for Houston, with its lineup of mashers, to rack up a lot of runs against the Mariners and win a 9-4 type game.

    My Pick: Over 10

  • With the Angels struggling at the plate as well as on the mound, this should be an easy winner for Cleveland but at -225 odds I think there are better games on the board today.

  • The Marlins may be sending out Smith to the mound, but not even their ace can save them from their horrific offense. The Fins have struggled to produce runs all season long and I think that trend will continue against Kelly tonight. Kelly was roughed up in his last start but I expect him to return to form against the anemic offense of Miami.

    My Pick: Arizona -105

  • I like Atlanta +135 in game 1 here with Keuchel going against Corbin. The Braves continue to possess one of the best lineups in the league and have been unstoppable at the plate and I think Keuchel gives them a slight edge on the mound tonight. Look for Atlanta to take the opener in a high-scoring affair.

    My Pick: Atlanta +135 & Over 9.5

  • The Angels are red hot right now, and if they just swept the Dodgers, I dont see how the Orioles have any chance. Baltimore is just playing out the string, and they arent going to be going particularly hard on this west coast road trip. The Angels on the other hand are still fighting for a playoff spot, and I think theyll crush Baltimore here in a high scoring game. I like the Angels RL -1.5 (-135) and the OVER 10 is worth a look.

My Pick: Los Angeles -220 & Over 10

  • Love the UNDER 8.5 here today - both pitchers should be able to go 6+ innings and I think Giolito will shut down the Twins and Berrios will do enough to keep this a low scoring game.

    My Pick: Under 8.5

  • This is a game the Diamondbacks should winning easily but at -230 odds I think the value play in this game is on the OVER 9. Brooks is a below average MLB pitcher and has a pedestrian 6.17 ERA on the road this season which should lead to a poor performance in this one. I can see both starters struggling in this game and both teams have below average bullpens so I expect a higher scoring game than the 9 runs Vegas is forecasting.

    My Pick: Over 9

  • Although they got mopped up by lowly Baltimore over the weekend, losing 2 out of 3, I like Boston in this spot tonight as they have the edge on the mound with Rodriquez and know their backs are against the wall. And the Sox have won six of their last seven games behind Rodriquez.

    My Pick: Boston -127

  • The Stro's have played well with Verlander on the mound, winning 11 of his last 15 starts, but Verlander has looked human most of the season and while Houston should be favored here, I don't think they are -220 favorites. Texas' Mike Minor has been one of the bright spots in the Texas rotation and gives the Rangers a fighting chance to win this game tonight. I'll take Texas here getting 2X on my money eve if it is more of a vale bet.

  • Leake has been touched up in 2 of his last 3 starts and the Mariners are simply not playing well right now. The Angels are on a roll and have won five of their last six games and Barria is better than his 5.21 ERA. The Angels are the better team with the better pitcher here tonight.

    My Pick: Los Angeles +105

  • Robbie Ray is coming off an outstanding start against the Cardinals in which he allowed just one run on two hits over 6 1/3 innings. I think the D-backs will get to Chavez tonight. Got to take Arizona at the cheap price with Robbie Ray on the hill tonight.

    My Pick: Arizona -128
